| Hi all, My third topic on this site.... My "Cutty" version took 6.5 years of weekends to build, I think that equates to around 3,500 hours. My third build and plenty of research went into the subject. I lost count of the number of individual components, but, somewhere in the region of 10,000 - 15,000 (2,500 in copper plating the Hull, every yard, an average of 150 components, etc.) Some days, consisted of, "Going to do some stuff" and walking straight back out of the Ship Room. (Had to be otherwise inspired or "don't touch!!"  ) The Kit was "Wanting" a lot, I gave it a lot and a bit of a "Bash" The build is by no means the best example that I have seen but I was reasonably happy with it, a little piece of marine art. I'll post some photos of the build tomorrow. (There's a lot of them, so, might take a couple of days.) Cheers....HOF. | |

| Hi All,
Hopefully the photos thus far give you some idea of the order in building the Hull/Deck Furniture.

| Thank you Gentlemen, Yup the Rigging was "Interesting" to say the least. I enjoyed the challenge. The model is in it's "Harbour Rig" configuration with Yards lowered and Sails "Unshipped." The one problem that I needed to address was that I needed a Cabinet, I tackled this about two thirds of the way through the build, Dust is the real killer!! Given the size of the model, it takes up a bit of "Real Estate."   | |

| I also had to keep the Centre of Gravity as low as possible, we get Earthquakes here. The Cabinet and Model successfully rode out the 7.8 Kaikoura Earthquake, November, 2016 Cheers....HOF. | |
