Model slipway

I am looking for model slipways Tamar life boat kit. As they have retired I was wondering if anyone was producing their kits.

As far as I know no-one has as yet taken over any of their kits. A friend had one on order but then sickness struck Slipway and all outstanding orders were cancelled. He's hoping one will come up on eBay.

Thanks for the reply Barrie, a shame if they get lost as they are quite good kits. I have been looking at the Brede life boat kit by Mountfleet models, about my size now that I am getting old, but it seems quite cheap for a life boat kit. Do you know of anyone that has built this kit?.

I think the Brede kit probably originated with David Metcalfe who sold it to Models By Design who sold it to Mountfleet. Could be wrong, but I don't think it is a Mountfleet original. Tony Green Steam Models also has some ex- Metcalfe models I think.
