HMS Troubridge C 1960

My second model which I bought the hull from D M and scratch built the rest from detail I obtained elsewhere ,supplied by ex crew members who said she was very accurate , so quite pleased at that .

Took me about 18 months to research and build , and she still runs well .

Indeed SWAB ,  the ship was the basis for the popular radio series "The Navy Larks " and my farther in law met them .

He was radar operator on her and commented that she would roll in wet grass , and whilst a nimble craft had stability issues and the mess was often awash he said and the new idea of fitting aluminium superstructure  to steel  decks resulted in many refit jobs , but a good all round sub chaser ....

I've listened and still listen when it's on 4 extra to the series I like what the BBC did with the ships crest.
