This isn't really an active build blog as the boat is more or less finished.
Mahealani is a girls name that means Heavenly Moonlight in the Hawaiian language. She's a 1/24 scale interpretation of a Hungarian cabin cruiser. She's a shade under 36" long and is completely scratch built (apart from the figures, the anchor and the portholes) from wood, plastic and brass. She's powered by 2x 385 motors and a 3300mah battery through a Viper ESC. She has a fully detailed illuminated interior and a rather fetching string of party lights
(£1.50 off Ebay) for those humid tropical nights.
Most of the construction materials and fittings have come out of my various bit boxes so consequently she's cost about forty quid to build in total.
From originally drawing up the plans to the stage she's at now has taken me 51 weeks but during that time I've part built three other boats too.
Enjoy.
