Went to Milestones museum in Basingstoke,brilliant well worth a visit

Mark thanks for that photographic trip round what looks to be a tremendous day out. Came as a slight shock to me as I grew up from being 7 till I finished my carpentry apprenticeship and joined the army at 19, in Tadley just 9 miles from Basingstoke so I knew the town well back in the late 60's / early 70's

Nice that Mark, looks like a good place to visit.



There is a real good one in HULL called Street life, having a few nights there at the end of the month, nostalgia trip as thats where we both grew up.

I think in UK the daddy of this type of museum is Beamish in County Durham.

If you are ever up the the frozen northeast its well worth a visit.

Agree with you Geoff,Beamish is great,Black country in Birmingham is also a good visit.
