soldering nickel silver.

I have just received a photo etched fret of a large crane jib from Deans Marine to go on
a post war cruiser - strangely this is the first fret I have had that is made of nickel silver
and not brass. I usually now use Carrs solder paint for brass - can this be used on n/silver
or will I have to use silver solder which I have never used and do not have a gas torch

Nickel Silver should be fine with your normal solder. I used to build brass locomotives from kits that were a mix of brass and NS without any probs.

Thanks Matt I will give it a go on a small piece of the fret that i do not intend to use in the finished
job and see how that goes.

I used to use solder paste too. never liked it as much as normal solder though.
