Can anyone tell me where to get the aluminium tubing from so that I can make my own motor cooling coils.

Hi Alan, I would use copper brake pipe, it bends a lot easier than ally without kinking. Bend it around a former which is slightly smaller in diameter than the motor can....

Alan you'll need reasonably thick walled tubing otherwise it will kink even after annealing even the thicker walled tubing will need to be re-annealed each 1/4 turn to avoid kinks copper brake tubing is friendlier to work and would only need annealing once or twice for the job.
The smaller the Radius of the bends you require the harder it will be to achieve.
