| I'm here, and I have been posting in the sports boat page, but there seems little or no interest in that area.

| I have just got back from a long weekend attending the SWMEE show at the Bath & West Showground, absolutely "cream crackered" but a great show with an even better atmosphere.... Will be going back next year for sure..

| I had a nice long chat with Larry W as well as Tug Kenny and quite a few others as well as you I think, in fact I talked to so many I made myself hoarse this weekend... Nice selection of model clubs and a few quality traders as well..

| Yes, the show was a good one this year. Met up with you guys and put faces to names. I went all around the show ground several times and kept seeing new things to take my interest. Anyone fancy building an R/C truck. Wow those things looked interesting. They had a massive display and looked like they were on the up, for sure. I particularly like the matchstick Titanic. She looked better than my wooden version. Got rid of over £100 that day with not a lot to show for it. £10 to get in, indeed. regards Ken | |

| The mention of RC Truck sparked fond memories, in the early '70's I converted a 1/25th Peterbuilt Cab over and Pantech trailer kit builds to RC with the drive train and steering scratch built I'll have to search the photo albums for photo's as they're way prior to digital pics. |

| Here's a picture of my fleet wagons. I started doing these before I went into boating. They are both sold on now. The prices have shot up since then otherwise I might build another. I found them very well engineered and enjoyed them. I was certainly impressed with the show-ground models I saw. Things have come on a long way. ken | |

| Do you know, I'm not sure. The models are around 2 foot long and , being steel, quite heavy as well. I would be guessing when I say the scale maybe around 1:14th. Of course, these days you can get all the R/C you can afford for them. Sound, lights, smoke and all that stuff. Even I can make one look good. ken ps Just noticed your location. The supplier is nearer to you than me. | |

| That's big the Rx, dinosaur 70's style ESC Rx battery and drive batteries had to go in the trailer it used to get lots of looks at plastic modellers shows as I drove it around and backed it into scale loading docks. |

| Hi folks good to see a few new faces and all the regulars are still going strong. I have been pretty quiet recently due mainly to lots of work though I have a troll through most weekends just not a lot to say. I am gutted that I missed the SWMEE show at shepton been a regular there for the last 4 years. pleased to hear good reports of it though as last year the 4 day format damn near spoilt it. today being Easter Sunday my 1st annual appearance of the year at our local pond in support of a charity egg hunt they hold annually was a total success with so much interest in my meagre fleet of 5 (Slo-Mo-IV, my veron mfv, a 1/72 self designed Norwegian steamer my Barbary pirate and the lady Sarah II) that the camera got only one airing to photograph the Barbary pirate at anchor with its now fully functional anchor it works perfectly and holds her nicely even against the fairly stiff breeze in attendance. the sun was in evidence too and a great afternoon was had by all the egg hunters young and old | |

| Thanks Tony its design was inspired by a 1910 picket boat converted to a luxury live aboard yacht that's berthed at watchet. the real one is up for sale for some silly money and is called the "barbary T" try a google search to see how much it might scare you lol | |

| I see what you mean Phil it's silly money, they haven't got a chance of selling it for that. It's the Brokers taking their cut the greedy reptiles.

| its been on the market 2 years to my knowledge Tony so guess your right probably never sell at that price although when I saw it a couple of weeks ago it looked a lot tidier and loved than it did last year so perhaps someones realised the reason for a no sale | |
