i don't always build lifeboats, lol

I built this scale model along side 1 scale and 4 stand off scale models of the 87' Millar shelterdecker Heatherbelle for the skipper and crew of the actual boat in the early 1990's. I was given this photo today by my good lady ex wife who was sorting through some albums, and was taken outside the old Fleetwood Lifeboat station shop..I had made it for myself to use and had motorised it but was so fed up with them all after making so many that I decided to get rid of it and took it up to Aberdeen where the skipper had brought the actual boat into the harbour to take collection of his models.
I asked him to take it up to Lerwick RNLI station and asked if they would like to sell it as a donation towards their new lifeboat fund. In the end Shetland Fishing association bought it to show in their entrance in Lerwick and paid into the RNLI funds £1500 quid for the model. job done.

Don't think I have any other photos of the model. The moulds that I made her from are now in the possession of Models By Design.
