sunken yacht found at llyn parden n wales

Divermike (Apprentice) Forum Posts: 1 15th Apr 2018 08:43   ✓ Like This Post   ( 1 ) Hi, I have just registered here to try and re-unite a very beautiful yacht we recovered from the bottom of Llyn Padarn North Wales yesterday, its over 5ft high with its sails up, very heavy lead keel, full of electronics, there are pictures of it on "Facebook Dorothea Quarry" page (That's our usual dive site) its not been sunk that long as in quite good condition, Im sure someone will recognise it right away ..... That’s pretty nasty to have to leave your model sunk at the bottom of the lake!

Hopefully a reunion with the owner and a fix will put the boat back in good steed.

I’ve yet to sink a boat, had a few taken on a lot more water than I hoped, but we have had one club member loose two of this boats in a short period of time, one IOM to which was same day recovery but he also lost a tug when it went down and didn’t get retrieved for several months until the lake was drained and a member retrieved what was left, needless to say gutted both the model and owner!

I have had contact with him . and now passed on to diver mike all his details, hopefully there will be a good ending. thanks to all model boat forums.

the owner has been found  and contact made he will be receiving his yacht next time mike is up here diving again in n wales. THANKS TO STAVROS for contact. happy ending love it when we all work together as a forum united.
