I am new to the forum and would like to say hello to everyone. I am 74 and a retired firefighter. I have been model making for many years and amongst others have built and building at the moment static period ship models. A couple of weeks ago I decided to build an RC model boat that I could sail next year when the warmer weather comes so I thought that joining the forum would be a good place to get advice on my first RC boat project.
Best regards, Greg

Welcome Greg. Welook forward to seeing pictures of your build when you get going. Pictures help us to help you if you need any!

Hello, Thank you for your welcome. Please excuse the ignorance but what is a build log?
Greg

Hi Greg, It is just a way of showing us how you are progressing with your build with text and photos. You start a thread and call it (whatever your boat is) and you add to it as you go along until it is finished.

Thank you. I'm still navigating around the forum and getting a bit lost at the moment. Should the build log be put under the general topic or is there a specific topic the log should be put under?

Hi Greg, On the Home page there is a section called 'Modelling Categories & Archive Logs.' Chose the one that best suits your build, and post it there.

Build logs usually go under Slipway - Active Build Logs. You'll find plenty there and in the specific model type categories as well.

Hi Barrie, Thank you for correcting me. I got it wrong.
Hi Greg, Sorry for leading you down the wrong path. I forgot it is the moderator/ Admin team that moves the finished build log's to the section that I mistakenly told you to post.
